Development Committee

All the activities of the Knocklyon Concert Band Society are overseen by a Development Committee formed of parents of the members.

The Development Committe usually has between 10 to 12 members, who are elected at our Annual General Meeting in September. Positions available are Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Manager of the Junior and Senior Bands (one post each), Trips/Events Coordinator (the Senior Band usually travels abroad once a year to a foreign music festival or competition), Registrar, Senior Band Member representative and 4 ordinary members.

The full committee meets 6 times a year, with subgroups carrying out the various functions as required.

Expressions of interest in joining the committee are always welcome; there is always much to do during the music year!
